World of Din
Character Creation
When you begin Mists of Din, you will create a character by choosing their race, subrace, color palette, and starting class.
It is recommended to try and combine races and classes to create unique synergistic effects.
Races of Din
There are four playable races in Mists of Din, and nine subraces.
Erdman
Erdman people are the most common in Din. They are friendly, but have a dark history of colonization and war.
They are suitable for most combat roles. The Millfolk are a caste of merchants, painters, and farmers who live on coastal plains. The Stonefolk are a caste of miners, sculptors, and sailors who live among the islands.

Choose a Class
Classes in Mists of Din each offer unique skills. Once you unlock a skill for a particular class, it becomes available for any class that can use the same category of skills.
The most common skill categories are Technique, Lo-Magic, and Holy Magic.
When you create a character, you will choose one of the following starting classes:
The Swordsman
The Swordsman class is a strong physical fighter class with high resistance to common debuffs.
Skill types: Technique
The Sorcerer
The Sorcerer class uses element-neutral magic in combat. They have 20 bonus Magic Points (MP), making them very potent spellcasters. Many Sorcerer skills have chance-based effects, such as having a chance to refund MP or strike multiple times. Choosing the Sorcerer is a more difficult start than some other classes.
Skill types: Lo-Magic
The Thief
The Thief class utilizes high speed in combat. They have the special ability to Steal items from enemy's potential loot table. Some items can only be obtained by stealing them!
Skill types: Technique, Trickery
Thief is considered a Taboo profession. Characters may treat you differently while you play as Thief. There are unique opportunities for both Taboo and Virtuous classes.
The Cleric of Light
The Light Cleric is a Radiant-aligned Wisdom support caster. Their special ability is Prayer, which grants the entire party a temporary defensive barrier. Choosing the Light Cleric is a more difficult start than some other classes.
Skill types: Holy Magic, Technique
Light Cleric is considered a Virtuous profession. Characters may treat you differently while you play as Light Cleric. There are unique opportunities for both Taboo and Virtuous classes.
Unlockable Classes
The first step in unlocking new classes is to meet someone willing to teach you. Finding these mentors is key to surviving in Din, because learning skills from one class will transfer those skills to any other class that can access that Skill Type.
There are 33 planned classes for Mists of Din. Journey through the mists and unlock the following classes:
The Ranger
The Ranger is a physical fighter class with a focus on high single-target damage. Their high Agility gives them more turns in battle, allowing them to concentrate on landing the perfect shot.
A world-famous Ranger is said to live somewhere near Blimp Hill. Could the rumor be true?
Skill types: Technique, Lo-Magic
The Druid
Druids are Mages that utilize Wisdom in spellcasting. Their spells call upon the forces of nature to aid their allies or hinder enemies. Around the world of Din are Druid Temples, each of which grant Druids the ability to Wild Form into an offense-oriented were-animal for a few turns.*
The Werewolf Wild Form changes the Druid into a fierce melee assassin. Werewolf attacks have a chance to deal Critical Strikes and inflict Bleed.
The Werebear Wild Form changes the Druid into a hearty tank. As a Werebear, the Druid can force opponents to engage in combat, and recover swiftly from wounds.
As a Weresnake, the Caster becomes a toxic but fragile Earth-aligned Mage. Weresnake spells can inflict the rare status effect Toxin: a Poison subtype that quickly saps HP.
Druids are drawn to the sites of natural disaster, to pray for the soil. They are not uncommon to see near the Undead Village.
Skill types: Lo-Magic, Wild Form
*Wild Form is not yet implemented in the game.
The Berserker
The Berserker is a physical fighter class that uses reckless acts to deal high damage. They sacrifice defenses in order to wield heavy weapons to kill as fast as possible.
There's a Berserker in Meager Village somewhere who is very excited to share his craft with others.
Skill types: Technique
The Warlock
The Warlock is an Intelligence-based Mage with the ability to align with Patrons. Although preferring offense-oriented magic, Warlock Patrons each have their own unique set of spells granted when the Warlock chooses to equip their Vow. Warlocks can freely swap between Patrons outside of combat.
The Faerie Queen is a Patron most welcoming to new Warlocks. She is found in the Faerie Forest to the West of Meager Village. Warlocks from all over Din mage their pilgrimage here. The Faerie Queen grants spells of deceit.
The Fire Spirit is mysterious, and lives somewhere in the Brown Sugar Desert, worshipping the sun. They bequeath powers of fiery destruction to Warlocks who accept their Patronage.
The Shadowkeeper is a Patron spirit who dwells deep underground. He is known to hunger for human souls, and to trick Warlocks into accepting unfair terms. Those who seek his Patronage wield spells that subdue opponents with blinding, oppressive darkness.
Skill types: Dark Magic, Lo-Magic, Technique
The Knight
The Knight is a defensive-oriented fighter class with abilities that help sustain the party through difficult battles. They have access to defensive Aura passives, which affect the entire party as long as the user is alive.
Knights allied with various factions are all over Din. Perhaps one of them could help you? You may have to prove yourself heroic first, however.
Skill types: Technique
Knight is considered a Virtuous profession. Characters may treat you differently while you play as the Knight. There are unique opportunities for both Taboo and Virtuous classes.
