Tips & How to Play
Use 'Space Bar' or 'Z' to advance text, confirm choices, talk to NPCs, and investigate objects.
Use 'X' or 'Esc key' to close windows, cancel, go back, or decline choices.
Use the arrow keys to move your character.
Hold 'Shift' to run.
Battles can occur randomly outside of towns and other safe areas.
Every enemy has a combat strategy in battle, and at least one weakness.
Skills are unlocked universally for all classes that have access to its skill type. For instance, if you learn the Technique 'First Aid' as the Swordsman, you can change your class to Thief and use 'First Aid', because the Thief also has access to Technique.
At level 10, each class can learn unique Passive abilities that carry over to all other classes.
Because of the universal nature of Skills and Passives, it is crucial to master multiple classes or else risking a much more difficult trek through the mists.
Losing a battle will send you back to your home location and cost 1/3 of your Coins.
Relics give permanent combat bonuses to all characters. There are 12 Relics in the beta/demo of Mists of Din. Collect them all to increase your power.
Meals are costly, but provide huge benefits to the party that stay in effect until you lose a battle or replace it with a different meal effect.
The Deja Water Temple is the last finished area of the game, and the Duskwatcher is the final boss of the beta/demo.
